Sweet Potato Chips
Monday, March 5, 2012 at 5:51AM I had seen these sweet potato chips at my local store, but I never bought them because $5.00 a bag seemed kind of ridiculous for such a small amount (10 oz). Rhythm Superfoods makes kale chips and sweet potato chips, both in multiple flavors, and the other day I found them on clearance for $1.10 a bag, so figured it was worth a shot. I bought the hickory BBQ and the company describes them as "crunchy and delicious," but with just one bite I knew they were anything but.
They may be Oil-Free, Fat-Free, Raw-Vegan, Gluten-Free, Heart-Healthy, and rich in vitamin A and C, but sadly, they are also flavor-free! They are super, super thin, and it is hard to describe, but they are almost crunchy-stale, if that makes any sense. It's almost like a waxy crunch. And yes, I checked the expiration date and it is far off. Man oh man, am I glad I didn't buy the regular price for these. Plus, there was no BBQ flavor. They were as plain as can be.
