Dizzy Pig

Both McCormick and Weber grilling make some pretty tasty grilling seasoning options, but let's take a look past the corporate options for a moment and discuss The Dizzy Pig Barbecue Company. Barbecue season is upon us, and you're going to want some of their seasoning in your herb cupboard. They sent us a variety pack of all their great options, and let me tell you, I like most of the 10 or 11 options, but I love, love, love their Raging River blend.

The Shakin the Tree, which is a lemon herb blend was great on chicken, the Jamaican Firewalk is pretty spicy, but excellent on shrimp, and the cow lick really give a pork or steak a great robust flavor. The Raging River however is, in my opinion, the most versatile, for chicken or seafood, which are our primary meat options in our house.

The company is located in Virginia and their products seem to be popping up in many stores throughout the country. You can order a sampler pack directly off their website to see which one you like the best, our you could just go for the gold and order in bulk. Seriously though, don't take my word for it; branch out from your go to seasoning combo and try something new.

You should try Raging River on vegetables. A few shakes on broccoli, squash, etc really wakes up the flavors of the veggies. And my personal favorite on pork is Red Eye Express - great on chops or tenderloins.
