The Broken Yolk

I wasn't planning on going out for breakfast during my brief time in San Diego but did a quick Yelp search and found the Broken Yolk to be well recommended. The place was bustling when we went on a Saturday around 11:30am and the service was really good.

Their menu was really large and I was happy to see they offered gluten free pancakes although I can't tell you what they use to make them because I forgot to inquiry and instead opted for an omelet. And actually I shared the omelet with my husband because one whole omelet is too much food for me, and really I think it is for most.  4 eggs loaded with veggies, etc. is a hardy breakfast.

We ordered an omelet with hash browns on the side which were good but not as good as my mother-in-law makes. Our omelet was filled with avocado, mushrooms, bell peppers, salsa, and cheese. With a dash of salt it was super tasty. A whole omelet was about $12 and if you share that's a super well priced breakfast. I would certainly go back here.
